Request handling
- Record request date, scope and applicable jurisdiction when known.
- Verify identity proportionately; do not collect excessive ID by default.
- Search relevant systems and document exemptions/limitations.
- Respond within applicable statutory deadlines where the law applies.
- Maintain an appeal/escalation path where required.
